For the Love of a Bear . . .

I have been slowly cleaning things out in my parents house. I came across a child's lamp that had a stuffed Teddy Bear as the base. My brother gave it to me when I was about 27 and I never used it. It had never come out of the box.

I thought that my brother's youngest grandson, who is 2 yrs old, might like it.

I took it over yesterday and while his mother was setting it up he curled up under the covers in his bed with a huge grin on his face. He lay there admiring it atop his dresser which was also a hand-me-down from Gma's house.

Today, I asked my niece if he was still happy with his lamp. She said that before he left the house this morning he rubbed the bear as he sadly told it good-bye!

I'm pretty sure he likes it!

Lots of doings the past few days . . .

Friday was my sister’s her 53^rd birthday. We had a family party here at my parent’s house. The family is giving her a grill for her little patio.

Saturday I tended my niece’s little boys while she took a college final in the morning. She is studying to be a nurse. I am confident she will do very well in this carrier. She also had an afternoon party to attend so I stayed there with her boys all day. The boys are ages 2 and 5 respectively and they are very lively as you can imagine. They are little rays of sunshine in my world and I love them as much as I do their mother.

I often remind my niece that Mothers of little boys work from Son up to Son down!

This is the Garden of my Life ---

Today I will begin to share

the Garden that is my life.

Lots of flowers and plants

in need of nurturing

as well as weeds

to which I should attend.
